In this class we'll be learning to deconstruct what you know about what it means to write using digital tools and techniques. Not only will we discuss ways to employ technology in storytelling, we will also consider how technology shapes our own conceptions about what a poem or story can be, and how readers and writers interact with it. To get started, play around on the Language is a Virus site. Look through the different word games you can play, and try some out.
Combined workshop and studio course in technological and aesthetic issues of reading and writing digital interactive texts with emphasis on poetry, fiction, creative nonfiction, mixed genre, drama, or performance. Explores how genre meets technology in original creative work. Includes techniques in authoring interactive digital projects using html and other open source resources.
